PROGRAM OVERVIEW
MCom or Master of Commerce is a postgraduate program that deals with studies in the areas of commerce, accounting, management, and economics. The program paves the way for many coming-of-age pathways, especially in the corporate and finance sectors. It offers specialisation in various sectors. The course is regarded as an entry point to professions such as chartered accountancy, company secretaryship, cost and work accountancy, insurance, and banking services. MCom is a very versatile programme and gives students the opportunity to choose their careers in various fields.

Candidates who are passing the three-year BCom/BBM Degree examination of Bangalore University or of any other University considered equivalent thereto by the Government of New Delhi, provided they have obtained not less than 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates) in aggregate in the Commerce subjects.
- Candidates appearing for the final semester undergraduate examinations in April-May 2025 may apply with the marks of all the previous semesters.
- General: A qualified candidate must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree examination of three years duration of New Delhi University or any other University deemed equivalent thereto by the Government with the respective subject as optional/major/special/main subject having secured a minimum 40% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects (including English and Languages) and 50% marks in the cognate subject or major subject. Note: SC/ST/Category I candidates having 5% marks less than that mentioned above can also apply.
- During the entry of their marks postgraduate applicants should quote the cognate subject. For example, where a student is applying for MSc Chemistry, his/her cognate subject is Chemistry with respect to the BSc programmes. A few of the courses do not have cognate subjects, for instance MSW. In that case, kindly mention one of the best core subjects as cognate subject.
